HOW IT STARTED

My first time doing boat repair when I was 3 years old with my father who had been doing this for 40ish years in the backyard. He let me help on this hatch project that he had for his own business. Then years down the road, my brother and I started helping my dad in the marinas were we worked on boats. We were only 13-16 years old but it was actually pretty fun and it made decent money for being younger kids. I was always more into the work than my brother though, I was more driven towards learning this trade and hoping I could do it for my work someday. I remember one summer I spent the majority of it getting up early everyday to go work with my father, we would go to multiple marinas and have the day and jobs planned out. It was a pretty good thing we had going and I learned a ton from it, but eventually things changed and ended up moving in with my mother and I had quit working on boats. Couple years down the road I had gotten a job as a home inspector and a warehouse worker, but it wasn’t what I wanted to do. So I planned out making a boat repair business cause that I knew how to do well. I eventually left my job to pursue building a boat repair business. Started off slow getting back into relearning all of the ins and outs of fiberglass but I learned it all back over a winters worth of work. I had some unexpected buff jobs and led to me expanding my work into detailing as well. Now I’m a over a year into getting back into boat work and more eager than ever to make my work the best around and to serve people as best as possible.
